A Trinitarian Christmas at PCF

Posted by Stephen Witmer on November 19th, 2015

The Advent season is almost upon us, and this Christmas at PCF will be a Trinitarian Christmas. We’ll be focusing on the coordinated work of the Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — in the Incarnation of the Son of God. I’ll make the case in my Advent sermons that our God is Three-in-One, and that each member of the Trinity contributes uniquely to the events of the first Christmas. This is a hugely exciting reality. The gospel we celebrate at Christmas is a Trinitarian reality! The Father sends, the Son comes, the Spirit empowers. God cares so much about what happens at Christmas that He’s all in — every person of the Trinity is on board with this project, working together.

Here are three recent, accessible, excellent books on the Trinity that are helping me in my preparation for this series. If you want to go deeper than we’ll be able to go in just four sermons, buy and read!
