Dear PCF,
I’ll be on a one-week writing leave starting tomorrow and am grateful to the PCF elders and congregation for granting me this valuable time. I’m planning to work hard in the strength that God supplies.
I’ll be writing a devotional book on the doctrine of God’s providence — the biblical teaching that God controls all things and purposes them for the good of his people. My goal in the volume will be to set this amazing doctrine on the hearts of readers, and I really want to set it on my own heart first.
Please pray that I’ll enjoy God as I write, that I’ll be clear, that I’ll have energy and godly care for future readers, and sensitivity to God’s Spirit as I write.
