PCF/CCT Weekend Away
In Romans 15.7, the Apostle Paul instructs Christians to ‘welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.’ That mutual welcome involves living in harmony with fellow believers. The heart behind our PCF/CCT weekend away is to grow deeper in relationship with one another and in our appreciation of the gospel so that we can live out the gospel-motivated, God-honoring unity for which Paul calls. As a family of churches, we’ll celebrate what God is doing in each of our churches, hear the testimonies of individuals to God’s goodness, and kindle our joy in God by pondering the stories of Christians throughout the ages. Let’s welcome one another for his glory!
Accommodations
Dormitories
The Hebron building features two bunk-style dormitories- one for men and one for women. Each dormitory houses more than twenty individuals and has full multi-stall restrooms.
Private Rooms
Toah Nipi’s main lodge also offers private rooms for families or individuals that require their own space. Each room comes complete with its own full bathroom.
Lavatories
The dormitories each have their own set of multi-stall restrooms complete with shower facilities. Each private room has a full en-suite bathroom.
Recreation
Our Weekend Away event has something for everyone! Whether you’re up for some friendly competition or just want to relax and connect, you’ll find plenty to enjoy. Play soccer, football, or frisbee in the open fields, challenge your friends to a foosball or ping pong match, or gather around the firepit for stories and s’mores. Take a peaceful walk along the scenic trails, enjoy the beauty of the lake, or dive into a board game or puzzle indoors. Every activity is a chance to laugh, bond, and create lasting memories together.
Teaching
This year, for the first time, the main group sessions will include and engage the whole family from age 5 and up. We’ll sing and enjoy testimonies. The teaching will focus on the lives of great Christians through the ages, and will be aimed at kids and adults alike. We’ll include ways to creatively engage the kids in these sessions.
Toddlers are welcome to stay with adults in the group sessions, or they can enjoy the nursery space that is available above the meeting room. Parents are invited to work together to create a co-op arrangement for childcare (in the past parents have taken turns watching toddlers during group sessions).
